SG1Web: Nitpicker's NetGuide to Stargate SG-1 (aka SG1Web or NNG) is conceived, designed, written, and implemented by a fan of Stargate SG-1. SG1Web is in no way associated with Gekko Productions, MGM, Showtime, or any other entities involved in the production of the series.

Design Issues

This site has been coded to be as browser- and platform- independent as possible.

• The site has been coded in PHP with MySQL as the interface to the database. These are both server-side languages, and thus there should be fewer compatibility problems than with client-side languages such as Javascript.

• Cascading style sheets (CSS) are used for most of the design elements. The site should degrade well (though it won't look as nice) in browsers that do not include CSS support.

• HTML has been coded to be as clean and valid as possible. Though not completely XHTML compliant, the site is moving in that direction.

• The page have been optimized for 800x600 screen size or higher.
